Welcome to Brunch Classics, where breakfast favorites transform into delightful creations for any occasion. This week, our 20 junior chefs at Create-a-Cook's Central Montco Technical High School location immersed themselves in the art of brunch. Under the expert guidance of Chef Jarrett for culinary recipes and Chef Dayvon for baking and pastry, they explored a variety of delicious dishes, mastering techniques that elevate brunch to new heights.
Monday: Ricotta Frittata, Breakfast Potatoes, and Mini Chocolate Chip Scones
The week began with a flavorful Ricotta Frittata, teaching our young chefs the nuances of making a perfect frittata. They also prepared crispy, well-seasoned Breakfast Potatoes and delightful Mini Chocolate Chip Scones, a sweet treat to complement the savory dishes.
Tuesday: Classic Breakfast Burrito, Fingerling Potato Hash, and Corn, Cheddar, and Chive Biscuits
Tuesday was all about hearty breakfast options. The Classic Breakfast Burrito, filled with a variety of savory ingredients, was a hit. Our chefs also made Fingerling Potato Hash, adding a unique twist to traditional hash browns, and baked Corn, Cheddar, and Chive Biscuits, which were a flavorful and fluffy addition to the menu.
Wednesday: Philly Cheesesteak Casserole and Cinnamon Rolls
Midweek, our junior chefs created a Philly Cheesesteak Casserole, a creative fusion of a classic Philly cheesesteak and a comforting casserole. They also perfected the art of baking Cinnamon Rolls, learning the secrets to achieving a soft, gooey interior and a perfectly sweet glaze.
Thursday: Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole, Classic Berry Waffle with Berry Compote, and Quiche Lorraine with Homemade Crust
Thursday featured a variety of brunch classics. The Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole was rich and decadent, while the Classic Berry Waffle with Berry Compote offered a fresh and fruity twist on traditional waffles. The Quiche Lorraine, with its homemade crust and savory filling, rounded out the week, showcasing the versatility and creativity of our junior chefs.
