This week at Create-a-Cook's Haverford College Campus, our junior chefs embarked on a delicious journey through Northern Italy. Under the expert guidance of Chef Carisa, they explored the rich culinary traditions of this enchanting region, mastering both classic and sophisticated dishes. Day-by-Day Culinary Adventure
Monday: Summer Corn and Vegetable Risotto & Meat Sauce Preparation
Our week began with a lesson in crafting the perfect risotto. The junior chefs prepared a Summer Corn and Vegetable Risotto, learning the importance of timing and patience to achieve the dish's signature creamy texture. In the afternoon, they made a robust meat sauce, which was reserved for use in Wednesday's lasagna.
