This week at Create-a-Cook's Central Montco Technical High School location, our junior chefs embarked on an enchanting culinary adventure through Northern Italy. Guided by the expertise of Chef Jarrett for savory dishes and Chef Dayvon for baking and pastries, they explored the rich flavors, traditions, and techniques of this captivating region. A Flavorful Journey: Day-by-Day Highlights
Monday: Summer Corn and Vegetable Risotto & Lemon Almond Biscotti
The week kicked off with a lesson in creating a creamy, flavorful risotto. The junior chefs prepared a Summer Corn and Vegetable Risotto under Chef Jarrett's guidance, learning the delicate balance of flavors and the perfect risotto texture. In the afternoon, Chef Dayvon introduced them to Lemon Almond Biscotti, a crunchy, sweet treat perfect for dipping in coffee.
