Polices, Create-a-Cook Camp for Kids

Please Read Our Policies Below

At Create-a-Cook, we understand that plans can change. Please review our policies regarding cancellations, refunds, and class changes to ensure a smooth experience.

Our Cancellation Policy:

 

To reserve a spot in one of our cooking classes, full payment is required at the time of booking. We now have a payment platform that accepts credit cards, along with ACH, cash, and checks. A $50 credit card deposit will be required with any cash or check payment option.
 

Checks can be sent to Create-a-Cook at P.O. Box 422, Feasterville, PA. 19053.

  • Camp weeks may be rescheduled at no charge (subject to availability) until May 31st.

  • Beginning June 1st, a $50 change fee will apply for any schedule changes.

 

Our Refund Policy:

  • Until May 31st: A full refund is available up to 30 days before the camp start date, minus a $50 cancellation fee.

  • Within 30 days of the camp start date: A full refund (minus the $50 cancellation fee) will be issued only if we are able to fill the seat with another student.

  • Within 14 days of the camp start date: No refunds will be issued.  

 

Please note that we are unable to offer credits, transfers, or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies, or events beyond our control. However, you may send someone in your place if you are unable to attend. Please contact us for any schedule changes.

Camp Class Cancellation Policy:

If Create-a-Cook cancels a class due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances, you may choose between a refund or a credit toward future offerings.

​

If a class is canceled, we will notify you via phone or email using the contact information provided during registration. Please ensure your contact details are up to date and check your email regularly. If we leave a voicemail, we will assume it has been received.

​

Weather Related Cancellation Policy:

​

In the event of inclement weather, we will determine cancellations at least two hours before class. If a class is canceled, we will notify you by phone or email.

 

If you are uncertain about class status, please call us for confirmation. Unless you receive direct notification of a cancellation, classes will proceed as scheduled.

​

If a class is canceled due to weather, a credit will be applied to your Create-a-Cook account for future use. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related cancellations.

​

Student Information

 

The Following are Mandatory:

 

  1. Close toed shoes

  2. Hair tie

  3. Short sleeve shirts (no tank tops)

  4. Bring a lunch (Unless otherwise specified by instructor)

  5. Bring a smile

 

Typical Full-Day Camp Schedule:

9:00 - 12:00 PM | Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts Class

  • Introduction to the day's techniques & ingredients

  • Hands-on cooking or baking session

  • Plating, presentation, and discussion

 

12:00 - 12:30 PM | Lunch

  • Enjoy a meal together (students may eat what they've prepared)

Lunch is only provided at the Haverford location. 

Central Montco students, please pack a lunch each day.​

12:30 - 1:00 PM | Free Time OUTSIDE (Weather permitting)

  • Relaxation, games, food-related activities, or discussions

​

1:00 - 4:00 PM | Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Class (Opposite of AM Session)

  • Introduction to new techniques & ingredients

  • Hands-on cooking or baking session

  • Final presentation and tasting

Typical Half-Day Camp Schedule:

9:00 - 9:15 AM | Welcome & Introductions

  • Check-in & greetings

  • Overview of the day's menu and safety guidelines

 

9:15 - 9:30 AM | Hands-on Demonstration

  • Instructor-led cooking techniques or a brief lesson on ingredients

9:30 - 10:45 AM | Cooking Session 1

  • Junior Chefs actively prepare the first dish or part of the meal

​

9:45 - 11:00 AM | Break & Snack Time

  • Light snack/water break

  • Discussion on cooking tips or food-related fun facts

​

11:00 - 11:45 AM | Cooking Session 2

  • Continue cooking (e.g., second dish, dessert, or plating)

​

11:45 - 12:00 PM | Tasting & Wrap-Up

  • Enjoy the prepared dishes

  • Clean-up and review of what they learned

  • Goodbyes and take-home materials (if applicable)

​

Drone Camp Weekly Schedule:

Drone camp is a half day that begins at 9:00 AM and concludes at 12:00 PM daily.
